Once the buyer and seller agree on a price, Atom.com will request the buyer to fund the transaction.
When the transaction has been funded, Atom.com requests the seller to transfer the domain(s) to Atom.com's secure holding account.
When the domain(s) are received in their holding account and checked against the purchase agreement, Atom.com will transfer the domain(s) to the buyer's registrar and disburse funds to the seller.
Since Atom.com handles the domain(s) transfer, there is no inspection period.

*If payment plans are available for a domain name, this will be clearly stated on the sales page.
When purchasing a domain name on Atom.com, choose the payment plan at checkout.
The Atom.com Domain Holding Service holds the domain name(s) in escrow while you make scheduled payments.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Atom requires your payment plan to be funded with a credit card (this is the ONLY payment method accepted for payment plans).
During this payment period, you have full use of the domain name(s).
Payments may only be scheduled on a monthly basis, using your date of purchase as the due date each month.
The maximum duration of a payment plan is 24 months for domains priced over $10k. However, the buyer can choose shorter durations. In some cases, Atom.com may only offer installment plans for 6- or 12-month durations (depending upon the selling price).
The domain name(s) is transferred to you upon final payment.

NOTE: There MAY be additional finance charges for payment plans.
In most cases, there is no additional surcharge on the monthly payments. However, if you opt for extended payment plans (12 months or longer), a small fee might be applied to administer those longer payment plans. Your monthly payment amount will clearly indicate this fee before you set up your payment plan on Atom.com.
*Payment Plans can be canceled by you at any time. The domain name will NOT be transferred to you in this case. Cancellation will result in forfeiture of ALL previous payments. Previously received payments are non-refundable under any circumstances.
**Failure to make an installment payment within 10 days of the due date will automatically cancel the purchase payment plan and forfeit ALL previous payments.

Buyers are entitled to a refund for domain names purchased with outright payment as long as the following conditions are met:
Buyer contacts us within 48 hours of purchase to request a refund.
Atom has NOT yet initiated the domain name transfer to the buyer.
▶ IMPORTANT: Buyers are NOT eligible for a refund AFTER the domain name transfer has been initiated to them -OR- after 48 hours of their domain name purchase (whichever happens first).
▶ Refunds are subject to a 5% cancellation fee to cover the cost of Atom.com's payment gateway as well as transaction processing.
